Given:-

  • Resistance,R = 500 ohms

  • Time take, t= 30 mins =30 × 60 = 180 Seconds

  • Current,I = 15A

To be calculated:-

Calculate heat energy produced in heater.

Formula used:-

Heat energy = I² × R × t

Solution:-

We know that,

H= l² × R × t

★ Substituting the values in the above formula,we get:

H = ( 15 )² × 500 × 180

H = 225 × 500 × 180

H = 112,500 × 180

H = 20,250,000

H = 2025 × 10⁵ Joules

Hence,the heat energy produced in the heater is 2025 x 10⁵ Joules.

Additional information:-

★ Another formulas :

  • H = V × I × t

  • H = V² × t / R

Current : Rate of flow charge is called current.

  • Current = Q / t

  • S.I unit is Ampere ( A )

  • Instrument used to measure current = Ammeter
