An electric heater of resistance 500 ohms is connected to a main supply for 30 minutes. if 5A current flows through the filament of heater, then calculate the heat energy produced in the heater.

Heat=I²Rt
=5² x 500 x [30x60]
=25x500x1800
=22500000 J
=22500 kJ

your answer is:

The heat energy produced in the heater = l to the power of 2 Rt.
=5 to the power of 2 × 500 × (30×60)
=25×500×1800
=22500000J
=22500KJ
