Answer:

Given -

  • l = 2 A
  • V = 220 Volts.

Electric iron has a resistance = R

V = l R

→ R = V/I

→ R = 220 / 2

→ 110 Ω.

  • R = 110 Ω

When the electric iron is connected to 110 V supply line -

l = V/R

→ l = 110/110

1 Amp.

Therefore, right option is d) 1 A.

Given :-

  • Voltage = 220 Volts.

  • Current = 2 A.

To Find :-

  • Current when voltage is 110 Volts.

Solution :-

We know the Formula :-

V = IR

V = Voltage, I = Current, R = Resistance.

Put the values.

R = V / I

R = 220 / 2

R = 110 Ω

But, When Iron is connected to 110 Volts Supply pipes :-

I = V / R

I = 110 / 110

I = 1

So, Your Answer :- 1 Ampere = Option (D).
