An electric iron has a power rating of 750W
a. How many joules of electric energy does it change into heat energy every second?
b. How many joules of work can it do in 3 seconds
c. How long does it take the iron to do 1500J of work?

Hi buddy your ans is below...

a ) As per by formulae ,

P = E / T

E = P X T = 750 X 1 = 750 J = 0.750 KJ

b ) As per by formulae ,

P = E / T

E = P X T = 750 x 3 = 2250 J

E = 2.250 KJ

work done = 2.250 KJ

c) P = E / T

T = E / P = 2250 / 750 = 3 sec...

Answer:

a) So we can see that electrical power is also the rate at which work is performed during one second. That is, one joule of energy dissipated in one second.

b) 750/3 =250 joules

c) 1500j only
