Correct questíon :-

➝ An electric iron of resistance 200ohm takes a current of 5A. Calculate the heat developed in 30s.

Gíven :-

➝ Resistance, R = 200ᘯ

➝ Current, I = 5A

➝ Time, t = 30s

To fínd :-

➝ the heat developed in 30s

Formula requíred :-

 \longrightarrow \boxed{\sf H = I²Rt }

there,

↬H = heat

↬I = current

↬R = resistance

↬t = time

Solutíon :-

using formula,

 \Longrightarrow \rm H =  {I}^{2} Rt

 \Longrightarrow \rm H =  {5}^{2}  \times 200 \times 30

 \Longrightarrow \boxed{ \rm H = 150000 j }

Hence,the heat developed in 30s is 150000 joules.

Additional information....

What is heat ?

  • heat is a form of energy that causes a difference in temperature, or the perception of warmth. An example of heat is hot water.

SI unit of Heat is : Joules

What is current ?

  • An electric current is a flow of electric charge in a circuit. More specifically, the electric current is the rate of charge flow past a given point in an electric circuit.

SI unit of current is : Ampere

What is Resistance ?

  • Resistance is a measure of the opposition to current flow in an electrical circuit. Resistance is measured in ohms, symbolized by the Greek letter omega (Ω).

SI unit of resistance is : ohms
