let the Resistance of lamp and conductor be,R1 and R2 respectively.

as,

these R1 and R2 are in series

therefore current is constant throughout the circuit.

now,

R = R1  + R2

R=4 + R1 -  - (1)

and we know,

R= \frac{V}{I}

R= \frac{6}{0.25}

R = 24ohm -  -  - (2)

now by equ. 1 and 2,

R1=24-4

R1=20ohm

so the resistance of lamp is 20 ohm
