Other conductor :

Resistance , R2=4Ω

Potential differences , V2=?

Current drawn , I2=?

Resultant resistance, R=R1+R2

∴ Potential difference, V=6V

Current in the circuit , I=0.25A

∵I=I1=I2

∴V=IR

⇒R=VI=60.25=6×100425=24Ω

Now, R1+R2=R ⇒R1+4=24

∴R1=24−4=20Ω
