Answer:

Given:-1)LAMP WORKS ON 220V VOLTAGE.

2)AND IT CONSUMES 40W OF POWER PER HOUR.

TO FIND

3)ITS INTERNAL RESISTANCE.

4)THEN ITS POWER CONSUMED IN kWh.

a)Easy simple using basics: We know relation POWER=VOLTAGE^2/RESISTANCE

40W=220V^2/RESISTANCE

Then R=1210 ohms.

b)AS WE KNOW 1 kWh IS POWER CONSUMPTION OF 1000W FOR ONE HOUR.

THEN 40W*4HR=160W

Converting into KwH 160W/1000=0.16kWh. Of power.
