an electric lamp of resistance 20 and a conductor of resistance 4 are connected to a 6v battery as shown in the circuit CALCULATE:

the total resistance of the circuit



the current through the circuit




the potential difference across the electric lamp and conductor and







power of the lamp

i) Req.= R1+ R2

= 20 + 4

=24ohm

ii) I = V/R

= 6/24

= 1/4A

iii) P.D of lamp

V = IR

= 1/4×20

=5V

P.D of conductor

V= IR

= 1/4 × 4

=1V

iv) Power of lamp

P = I²R

= (1/4)² × 20

=0.25 W
