Resistance of electric lamp, i.e. = 20 ohm
Resistance for the conductor connected in series = 4 ohm
Total Resistance R = = 20 + 4 = 24
As we know, according to the ohm’s law,
I = V/R = 6/24 = 0.25 A
Potential difference V across electric lamp,
V = I + R1
V = 0.25 x 20
V = 5V
