Total Resistance of circuit is 24 ohm in which the potential difference of 5 V is across electric lamp of conductor

Solution:

Given:

Voltage of battery, i.e. V = 6 V

Resistance of electric lamp, i.e. R_{1} = 20 ohm

Resistance for the conductor connected in series = R_{2} = 4 ohm

Total Resistance R =R_{1}+R_{2} = 20 + 4 = 24

As we know, according to the ohm’s law, I = \frac{V}{R} = \frac{6}{24}=0.25 A

Potential difference V across electric lamp,

\begin{array}{l}{V=I \times R_{1}} \\ {V=0.25 \times 20} \\ {V=5 V}\end{array}
