an electric motor is so operated that works for 100s and 80% efficient. if the power is 1500w, calculate (1)useful work done by the motor (2)load lifted by it through a height of 10 m.

Efficient power used is 80%

so, 80% of 1500w = 1200 w

useful work done = p x t

                            = 1200 x 100

                            = 120000 J

                            = 120 KJ

 (2) is load is mass

         1500 = 10 x 10 x mass x efficiency / time

         15 = mass x 1200 / 100

         5/4 = mass
