When the motor or fan moves it produces heat while emitting energy and therefore when it moves for a long time it becomes hot....

current required to rotate fan blades ,to maintain the current,the source has to keep expending its energy.part of this energy in maintaining the current consumed in rotating the blades of electric fan and rest of energy may be expended in heat to raise the temperature of gadget.Hope..it.will help u
