The height of the pole is 7 m.

Given:

An electric pole cast a shadow of 24 meters long, the tip of the shadow is 25 meters far from the top of the pole.

To Find:

Height of the pole from the ground.

Solution:

Let the height of the electric pole be x.

Let the length of the shadow be s = 24 m

Let the distance of the tip of the shadow from the top of the pole be p = 25 m

According to the question the figure formed is a right angle triangle, therefore

p² = x² + s²

25² = x² + 24²

25²-24² = x²

625 - 576 = x²

x² = 49

x = √49

x = 7m

Therefore, the height of the pole is 7 m.
