An electric pole casts a shadow of length 20 metres at a time when a tree 6 metres high casts a
shadow of length 8 metres. Find the height of the pole​

Answer -

Height of the electric pole = 15 m

• Explanation -

Let x be height of the electric pole.

Shadow of electric pole or tree at a certain time is proportional to its original length.

x/20 = 6/8

x = 6/8 × 20

x= 15 m

Hence, height of the electric pole is 15 m.
