An electric pole of height 17 root 3 is fixed at a corner of a rectangular Garden of length 15m and breadth 8m. what is the angle of elevation of the top of the pole who observed from the opposite corner of the pole.

Hence Diagonal Length = √15² + 8²

= √225 + 64

= √289

= 17 m

Horizontal Distance between pole & observing point = 17 m

Pole height = 17√3 m

Angle of elevation  = α

Tan α = Height of pole / Horizontal Distance between pole & observing point

=> Tan α = 17√3/ 17

=>  Tan α = √3

=> α = 60°

60° is the angle of elevation of the top of the pole when observed form the opposite comer of the pole
