We have given:
Power (P) = 2 kW
1 kW = 1000 W
= 2 x 1000
= 2000 kW.
Height (h) = 10 m.
Time (t) = 1 min = 60s.
Acceleration due to gravity (g) =9.8 m/s^2.
We have to find:::
Mass of the water (m) = ????
So,we know that,
P = mgh/t
m = Pt/gh
m = 2000 x 60/9.8 x 10
m = 120000/98
m = 1224.5 kg.
Therefore, the water lifted by the pump is 1224.5 kg.
Thanks...... :)
