Power of the Electric Pump = 2 kW
= 2000 W.
Time taken = 1 minutes = 60 seconds.
∴ Energy = 2000 × 60
= 12 × 10⁴ J.
Height to which the pump be lifted = 10 m.
Acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/s².
Energy = mgh
⇒ 120000 = m × 10 × 9.8
∴ m = 1224.5 kg.
Hence, the mass of the water lifted per minutes is 1224.5 kg.
Hope it helps.
