An electric spark is passed between two electrodes placed near each other inside a tightly closed tin can full of petrol/diesel.Will the petrol/diesel catch fire?Give reasons for your answer. HOPE IT WILL BE SOON ANSWERED.

No it will not catch fire because because fire is generated in petrol by the ratio of 1:3 which means if the can will be almost empty of petrol and there will be enough oxygen then it will catch fire or blast

No, the petrol / diesel will not catch fire.

For the combustion reaction to occur, an oxidizer or atmospheric oxygen is essential, along with heat energy.

If the tin is full of petrol / diesel and it is tightly closed, there is no space for oxygen. So, there will be no heat produced even when an electric spark is passed between the electrodes placed inside the tin. So, no flame / fire is produced.
