Explanation ⇒ Given,

Potential difference = 115 V.

Energy = 34200 J.

Using the formula,

Charge = Work done/Potential difference

∴ Charge = 34200/115

∴ Charge = 297.4 C.

Time taken = 20 seconds.

Using the formula,

   Current = Charge flows/Time.

∴ Current = 297.4/20

∴  Current = 14.87 A.

Hence, the current through the Toaster is 14.87 A.

Hope it helps.
