Answer:

3600 m

Explanation:

According to the given question,

v = velocity = 120 m/s

Here velocity can be treated as speed, as it's a linear motion without changing it's direction.

t = time = 30 sec

d = distance

And we are asked to find the distance travelled by the train.

We know,

  • distance = velocity × time

  • d = v × t

Putting the values we get,

  • d = 120 × 30

  • d = 3600 m

Thus distance travelled by the train after 30 sec is 3600 m for velocity of 120 m/s.

Solution :-

As provided

Velocity = 120 m/s

Time = 30 sec

Now we have to find out the distance covered in 30 sec .

As velocity is constant the distance will increase uniformly over the time .

Note :- This can be also regarded as a uniform motion as there is no acceleration is talking place.

Now as the velocity is 120 m/s

→ It will cover up 120 meter in one sec

So in 30 sec it will cover

= 120 × 30

= 3600 m
