An electric water heater draws 10 A of current from a 240-V power line.. What is its resistance? With solution

GIVEN :-

  • voltage of electric heater = 10 A.
  • Current = 240 V.

TO FIND :-

  • The resistance.

SOLUTION :-

By using Ohm's Law,

V = IR.

  • V → voltage.
  • I → current.
  • R → resistance.

⇒ R = I/V

⇒ R = 240/10

R = 24 Ω.

Hence the required value of resistance 24 ohm.
