here given that -

P = 1.2 Kw = 1.2 x 10 ^3 w

V = 120 volt

T = 30 mins

I = ?

as we know that , P = V X I

1.2 x 10 ^3 = 120 x I

I = (1.2 x 10^3 ) / 120

I = 1000 / 100

I = 10 A

the current drawn by appliance is 10 A....
