An Electrical Device Of 500W Is Used Daily In A Household For 10 Hours. Calculate The Energy Consumed in The Month Of April

April = 30 Days = 720 Hours
Power = 500W
T(1) = 10 Hours
T(2) = 30 Days

given ,( time taken per day ) t = 10 hrs.
         ( power )   P = 500 w
        ( energy )   E = ?   
   [tex]P = \frac{E}{t} [/tex]
    P * T = E
    500 * 10 = 5000 w    
 energy use in 1day  = 5000 * 3600 * 10 =  18000 kj 
 energy used in month of april ( 30 days ) = 18000 * 30 = 540000 kj

so energy consumed is 500J per second.
energy consumed in 1 hour = 500×3600 = 1800000J = 1800 kJ
It is used for 10 hours a day. 
So energy consumed in a day = 1800kJ×10 = 18,000 kJ
energy consumed in 1 month(30days) = 30×18,000 kJ = 5,40,000 kJ=5.4×10⁵ kJ
