Answer:

Power of kettle, P = 1KW = 1000W

ΔV = 220V

Now,

P = V^2/R

P = 220*220/R

R = 220*220/1000

R = 48.4 ohm

Now,

V = IR

220 = I * 48.4

I = 220/48.4

I = 2200/484

I= 100/22

I= 4.54 A

Hence, a fuse of 4.54A should be used.

Power = P = 1KW = 1000W

Voltage = V = 220V

Resistance = R = ?

P = VI

I = P/V

Putting the values in,

I = 1000/220 = 50/11 = 4.5A

P = VI

P = V × V/R

P = V²/R

R = V²/P

Putting the values in,

R = 220²/1000

R = 48400/1000 = 48.4Ω

Hence,

Resistance of the wire should be 48.4Ω and

Current flowing through it must be 4.5A
