An electrical kettle rated at (60V, 5A). We have a mass of 10kg that is placed such that the steam in the kettle is used to drive the mass in the horizontal direction. If the kettle runs for 5 minutes. What is the velocity of mass attained ?
• 100m/s
•50m/s
•60√20m/s

We have,

P=Vi=60(5)=300W

t=5(60)=300s

W=P*t=300(300)=90000J

This work done is equal to kinetic energy

i.e, 90000=mv²/2

90000=10v²/2

90000=5v²

V²=18000

V=60√3 m/s
