297 m 75 cm of wire is now left with him.

Step-by-step explanation:

Total length of the wire bought by the electrician = 500 m = 500 x 100 cm = 50000 cm

[Since 1 m = 100 cm]

Length of the wire sold to one customer = 43 m 75 cm = 4375 cm

Length of the wire sold to another customer = 158 m 50 cm = 15850 cm

Total length of wire sold by him = 4375 + 15850 = 20225 cm

Length of the wire is left with him = 50000 - 20225 = 29775 cm = 297 m 75 cm

Hence, 297 m 75 cm of wire is now left with him.
