An electrician is carrying out some repairs in your house he wants to replace a fuse by a piece of wire would you agree give reasons for your response

No because if there is a high current flow than required the wire in fuse melts and breaks the circuit and prevents shot circuit .

If he replaces it by a piece of wire , the wire allows the current to pass through it resulting problems like shot circuiting and effects the life time of electrical appliances

It is not a wise idea to replace fuse by a piece of wire as a it has very low melting point . In case of metal piece , melting point will be high and the circuit will be intact in case there is overload or overheat.
