The velocity of the electron will be 1.6 * 10⁸ m/s

Explanation:

when the electron or any charged particle accelerates through the potential difference the energy conservation if followed :

\frac{mv^{2} }{2} = eV  ..................................................eq 1

where v is the velocity and

V (capital v ) is the voltage applied   ( given = 80 kV )

e is the charge on electron= 1.620 * 10 ⁻¹⁹ C

m is the mass of the electron   9.109 * 10⁻³¹ Kg

using above displayed data in eq 1 we get :

v²   = 2* 1.620 * 10 ⁻¹⁹ * 80 * 1000 / 9.109 * 10⁻³¹

    = 28.455 * 10 ¹⁵

 v  = 16.868 * 10⁷

  v = 1.6 * 10⁸ m/s
