Given that,

An electron and proton moving parallel to each other in the same direction with equal momenta enter into a uniform magnetic field.

Momentum of both electron and proton are equal.

P=mv.....(II)

We know that,

The magnetic force is

F = qvB....(II)

Where, q = charge

v = velocity

B = magnetic field

This force provides the required centripetal force for the motion along circular path whose radius is r.

We need to calculate their trajectories in the magnetic field

Using formula of centripetal force

F_{c}=\dfrac{mv^2}{r}...(III)

From equation (II) and (III)

\dfrac{mv^2}{r}=qvB

r=\dfrac{mv}{qB}

Put the value of mv from equation (I)

r=\dfrac{p}{qB}

Hence, Their trajectories in the magnetic field are \dfrac{p}{qB}
