For solving this we should use left hand thumb rule I. E forefinger is magnetic field. Middle finger is current. And thumb is force

So, given, magnetic field is from north to south and electron is moving downward but here we should consider conventional direction I. E up wards so, by applying left hand thumb rule we get beam get deflated to wards east

Hope u got ur answer.......

shreykriti: wrong answer actually the beam will get deflect in east direction by applying flemings left hand rule!!

For this question we will use fleming left hand rule

Electron is moving upward Therefore current is towards downward

So middle finger will be point towards ur feet

Now, as magnetic field is from south to north therefore 1 finger will point towards north

And by this we will get the direction of deflection by thumb directing towards force.

Hence answer is towards east

Hope u like it
