An electron beam is moving vertically upwards. If it passes through a magnetic field which is directed from South to North in a horizontal plan, then in which direction the beam will deflect?

it would deflect in west direction.

Hi we can solve this problem with left hand thumb rule I. E forefinger is magnetic field. Middle finger is current and thumb is force I. E given

Magnetic field is from south to north and electron is moving upwards but we should consider conventional direction I. E downwards so by applying left hand thumb rule we get beam get deflated to west
