The frequency is \dfrac{eB}{2\pi m}

Explanation:

Given that,

Mass of electron = m

Kinetic energy  of electron = E

The frequency of revolution of charged particle in a perpendicular magnetic field

We need to calculate the frequency

Using formula of frequency

\nu=\dfrac{1}{T}

\nu=\dfrac{1}{\dfrac{2\pi r}{v}}

\nu=\dfrac{v}{2\pi\times r}....(I)

We need to calculate the radius

Using electric and magnetic force

\dfrac{mv^2}{r}=evB

r=\dfrac{mv}{eB}

Put the value of r in the equation (I)

\nu=\dfrac{v}{2\pi}\times\dfrac{eB}{mv}

\nu=\dfrac{eB}{2\pi m}

Hence, The frequency is \dfrac{eB}{2\pi m}
