                         Δ K.E. = X/4 -X

                                    = - 3X/4

 Now, we know that Δ K.E. = - ( Δ P.E. /2 )

                                    -3x /4 = Δ P.E. /2

                                       Δ P.E. =3X /2

Therefore ,the change in potential energy will be Δ P.E. =3X /2
