Element A is calcium as when it reacts with water,it forms calcium hydroxide.Therefore, B is calcium hydroxide[Ca(OH)2] which is used in white washing. Compound B in heating gives CaO which is C. CaO on treatment with water gives back B[Ca(OH)2]
The reactions are:
Ca + 2 H2O ---> Ca(OH)2 + H2
Ca(OH)2---->CaO+H2O
CaO+H2O--->Ca(OH)2

✨Element A is calcium (Ca). When it reacts with water, it forms calcium hydroxide. Thus, compound B is calcium hydroxide [Ca(OH)2], which is used in white washing.✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
