Answer:

Since, the valency of the given element is said to be 3

Let us assume the element to have it's symbol as X

Now, just to explain as in an example,

when we have AlCl3 as a compound

We know, that Aluminium metal has it's valency as 3 and Chlorine has a valency of 1

So,to make the final compound stable with electrical neutrality what happens is that three Chlorine 1 minus ions combine with one Aluminium 3 positive ion to form the compound AlCl3

Hence, here in the this case we know that sulphide ions form S two minus ions hence, two make neutral charged compound we'll need 2 X 3+ ions and 3 S 2- ions right?

So, 。◕‿◕。

The Compound's formula will be X2S3.

Hope this helps you !
