Atomic number = No of protons in atom = 15

No of protons =15

Mass number = 31

Mass = No of proton +neutrons

31=15+ no of neutrons

31-15=16=no of neutrons.

Configuration = 2,8,7

Now it will gain one electron in order to make its shells stable. So it will get negative charge with valency= -1
