If the element belongs to left side of the modern periodic table and reacts spontaneously with air and water at room temperature, the element must be of the group 1.

a) element- sodium (Na)

[You can write potassium (K) too.]

b) Na2O

c) since elements of group 1 are metals because the react chemically by donating electrons, Na2O is basic oxide.
