let the element be X
as we know that it belongs to group 13 so it will have 3 electrons in its outermost shell. it needs 5 more electrons to complete its octet which requires a huge amount of energy, so it will loose electrons.

also oxides have 2 electrons in its outermost shell, so it will loose electrons.

the formula therefore becomes,
X2O3
