An element with x has 2 electrons in its valence shell without any core electron. Which group does it belong to? Give reasons appropriately.

it is belong to Group II because it had to Valence Electrons and these elements are beryllium magnesium and Calcium. beryllium has 2 electrons in the valence shell so it is in 2nd group it is because of its smallest size .and magnesium and Calcium has largest size but they had to as their valence shell and both are belong to second group because when we go up to down the group remains constant
