Question ⏬

An element X has atomic mass = 220 and Atomic No =-86. Find out the no. of electrons and no, of neutron

Answer ⏬

We know that, Number of Protons = Atomic Number.

So,

X has protons = It's atomic mass

X has protons = 86

We also know that,

Number of protons = Number of electrons

(Because an Atom is Neutral)

X element has number of electrons = Number of Protons

X element has number of electrons = 86

Answer:

86 electrons , 134 Neutrons

Explanation:

Electrons = protons

Protons = Atomic Number

Atomic Number = 86

Protons = 86

Atomic mass = Proton+ Neutrons

220 = 86+ Neutrons

220-86 =  Neutrons

134 = Neutrons
