The electron configuration of element X is

1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 4s2 3d10 4p4.

as the differentiating electron  enters p block so

Period= 4

group = 10+ valence electrons

= 10 + 6= 16

group= 16

so element x position in periodic table is  4 period and 16 group
