Hi,

Here's the answer:-

No. of protons + No. of neutrons = Mass number

=> No. of protons + 18 = 35

=> No . of protons = 35-18 = 17

So, the element is Chlorine.

It is in group 17 and period 3.

HOPE IT HELPS ☺

Heya!
Here's your answer!

________

❇ The element that's being spoken about in the question is Chlorine having mass number 35 and atomic number = 17 . it's a halogen .

Given : mass number = 35
number of neutrons = 18

therefore ,
=> Number of protons + number of neutrons
( Total number of nucleons)
= mass number

=> number of protons + 18 = 35

=> number of protons = 17

thus ,
the period of this element = 3
Group number = 17

_____________
____

Hope this helps!
