X mass number = 35
Neutrons= 18

Atomic number of X= Mass number-No.of neutrons...
=35-18
=17

Atomic number is 17
Hence the element is Chlorine
It is located in the 3 period and 17 group..

Given element =X
Mass no. is = 35
No. of neutrons=18

So , no. of neutrons+no. of protons=mass no.
So,no. of protons =no. of electrons = 35-18
=17

We know that atomic no. is the number of protons present in the element =17
Clearly from the periodic table you will find that the given element is Chlorine.

*Period-3
