an element is represented as 7 means nitrogen

it mean it's atomic number is 7

we know that atomic number= electron = proton

so proton is same as atomic number

proton = 7

first we will find mass then only we can find Neutron

so mass is 14

mass - atomic number = Neutron

14-7 = 7

hope you understand this please mark as brainliest

Answer:

Mass number (A) = No. of protons (Z) + No. of neutrons

But the mass number is given as 31 and the number of protons is 15.

No. of protons (Z) + No. of neutrons = 31

Number of neutrons = 31 – number of protons

Number of neutrons = 31 – 15 = 16
