solution

(i) Here z = 16
Electronic configuration of z = 1s² , 2s² , 2s6, 3s² , 3p⁴

so, we can we last electron goes in 3 sub shell

so, period = 3

Now, Block_

As we can see the last electron goes in p orbital .

so, this belongs to P block

At last Group_

When elements in P block then group is given by 12 + no. of e- in last P orbital

so, Group = 12 + 4 = 16
-------------------------------
Now, valency of z = 2

so, it form compound H2Z with Hydrogen.

-------------------------------
It is Acidic in nature
