i)  the total area of elephant's feet:

Total feets of an elephant =4

Each foot's  area = 0.1 m²

Total area = 4*0.1

              =0.4m²

ii)  the pressure the elephant exerts on the ground:

Pressure= force/total area

Given force=60000 N

total area  =0.4m²

Pressure=150000 N/m²

iii) If one foot of the elephant is up then the total area:

                   = 3*0.1= 0.3 m²

Pressure= force/total area

Given force=60000 N

total area  =0.3 m²

Pressure=200000N/m²
