Elephant has larger weight of 40000N, so elephant exerts larger force on the ground. Elephant exerts a large force on the ground by 40000N - 400N = 39,600N

With force and area we can calculate pressure.

Elephant = 40000 ÷ (1000÷10000)

               = 400000 Pa

Girl = 400 ÷ (100 ÷ 10000)

      = 40000 Pa

Therefore the elephant exerts a larger force than the girl. This is by 360000 Pa.
