An elevator descends into a mine at the rate of 8m per minute. What will be its position after 8 minutes?

In 1 minute an elevator descends 8 metre

In 8 minutes it will descend distance = 8 × 8

= 64 metre

Hence, In 8 minutes the elevator will descend 64 metre.
