Initially the elevator is 30 m above the ground
It has to go 520 m below the ground hence
total distance =30+520=550m

Time taken by elevator to descend 10 m is 1 minute
then time taken to descend 1 m =1/10 minute
now for 550 m
time needed
= 550m =550/10 = 55 minutes
